Probably the number one place to get irrigation supplies, and 1st class service
I am an IT professional. Recently i have visited Piyadasa & Sons to buy some items for my first agri project and didn't have any prior experience about any irrigation systems. Rather than just selling it to me, a gentlemen at the office asked me more details about my project and advice a lot how to do and calculations of the ground distance and unit/ sprinkler distribution. The purchase i made is a small amount but i have got a hundred times valuable information and instructions from them. Further they draw me a sketch on a paper of the irrigation system to me to get a clear idea about it. I remember they gave me a good discount also. Piyadasa & Sons is not just a sales outlet, they are enriching people with knowledge and and proper guidance which leads this country to a better place. I visited this establishment but the pictures posted here are misleading. The systems they adopt are horrible. They first ask you to go to another floor to make the payment and then if they don't have the product in their premises; they ask you to go to their stores in Orugodawatta!! Which is very far from the shop in Colombo 12. Also the staff are unhelpful and careless. They don't even want to speak to you. My visit was a nightmare as the staff at the showroom downstairs didn't even speak to me and just directed me to their office upstairs for payment without even checking what I wanted. Please don't visit them. Gamage and Sons (the first shop on the block) is much better and they are super efficient
