The Rotaract Club of Alumni of University of Moratuwa, founded in 2013 is community based Rotaract Club sponsored by the Rotary Club of Colombo West. Rtr. Lahiru Gawarammana being the chartered president of the club gave a better initiative for the future endeavors of the club. From the chartered year, the service rendered by the presidents namely; Rtr. Dulitha Wanniarachchi in year 2014/15, Rtr. Hansaka Fernando in year 2015/16 and Rtr. Chathuranga Gallage in year 2016/17 led the way to higher standing of the club. The main objective of chartering this club is to provide the opportunity for the members leaving the Rotaract Club of University of Moratuwa as they graduate from the University to continue their involvement in the Rotaract movement as well as to keep the fellowship of the graduates for coming years. The club continues its 5th consecutive year up to date and intended to initiate many activities to serve the community as responsible engineering professionals in the country. Meanwhile, the club has also been guiding the Rotaract Club of University of Moratuwa consistently. We were able to produce a phenomenal tenure of 2016/17 in terms of the impact of service rendered to the community, empowerment of the club membership, fellowship and goodwill with the worldwide Rotaract community and the club members are willing to extend the success into year 2017/18 as well. The club has grown from strength to strength in both project innovation and financially as well. Past members who are around the world have always been a pillar of strength for the successful drive of the club.
